Cops: 52-Year-Old Wayne Woman Stole Vehicle During Argument
Police were attempting to execute arrest warrants when they ran the registration on a 2005 Jeep Liberty and found it was listed as stolen.

Police say a 52-year-old Wayne woman was arrested Sunday for allegedly stealing a car.
Wayne Police “were attempting to execute arrest warrants at a residence on Otis Place” just before 2 p.m. Sunday when they ran the registration on a parked black 2005 Jeep Liberty and found it was listed as stolen out of Little Falls on March 4, Captain Laurence Martin said.
Officer’s continued to investigate and determined that the resident, Virginia Ahern, 52, of Otis Place, had allegedly stolen the vehicle while having a dispute with the vehicle’s owner.

Although not specified, police say Ahern was in need of medical attention and was transported to Chilton Hospital by Wayne Memorial First Aid Squad while in custody.
The Jeep was towed form the scene and Ahern was issued a summons on the complaint of receiving stolen property with a pending court date, according to Captain Martin.
