Cops: Missing Wayne Man Returns Home
John Carroll was reported missing after going to a doctor's appointment at 11 a.m. Monday and failing to come home.

Wayne Police say a man who went missing after going to a doctor’s appointment Tuesday has returned home.
John Carroll, 70, of Wayne, who was last seen going to a doctor’s appointment at 11 a.m. Tuesday, returned home Wednesday after his family had reported him missing, Wayne Police Chief James Clarke told Patch.
The man’s family posted his picture and a message on Facebook yesterday to try and locate Carroll, who had been missing for more than 24 hours.

Chief Clarke told Patch that detectives had been focusing on South Jersey after determining Carroll used his credit card in the “South Jersey/Philadelphia area.”

Carroll has since returned home and has been reunited with his family.
According to Cliffview Pilot, Carroll, who doesn’t believe in cellphones, had gotten lost and thought his family would be angry if he called to say he didn’t know where he was.
Caroll’s children were taking him to a hospital for evaluation, Cliffview Pilot reported.
