County Spraying For Mosquitoes In Wayne, Other Communities Wednesday

Passaic County's Mosquito Control Division will be out Wednesday evening in Wayne, West Milford, and the Garrett Mountain Reservation.

WAYNE, NJ — With the recent summer rains, health officials will be spraying insecticide to control adult mosquitoes in several parts of Passaic County on Wednesday.

The county's Mosquito Control Division will be out Wednesday evening and into Thursday morning in Wayne and West Milford. Crews will also be spraying to control mosquitoes around the Garrett Mountain Reservation, before the Passaic County Fair begins Thursday.

The scheduled spraying time is from 8 p.m. Aug. 9 through 1 a.m. Aug. 10. There is no rain date.

  • Garrett Mountain Reservation (8 Mountain Avenue, Woodland Park)

Wayne:

  • Hobson Avenue, Old Turnpike Road

West Milford:

  • Henderson Road, Chippewa Terrace, Pinehurst Road, Hyde Road.

The insecticide that crews will be spraying is Fyfanon EW, officials said.
