WAYNE, NJ — Results in Wayne's Board of Education election remained inconclusive late Tuesday night. Officials tallied about 14,000 votes, but no districts had full results as of 11:30 p.m. on Election Night.

Eighth candidates ran for three available board seats: Wilson Alequin, Ryan Battershill, Barbara Rigoglioso, Matthew Giordano, Jacob Van Lunen, Suzanne Pudup, Stacey Scher and Cynthia P. Simon.

Pudup (2,265 votes), Scher (2,246) and Rigoglioso (2,066) led the tally as of 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. But Jacob Van Lunen (2,050) wasn't far behind.

Board President Suzanne Pupdup ran candidates Scher and Van Lunen. Battershill and Rigoglioso also filed a joint ticket.
