Expect Delays Monday On Colfax Road Due To Construction Work In Wayne
Police said the road will not be detoured, but there will be temporary traffic changes while crews pave the northbound lanes.
WAYNE, NJ — Wayne Police gave residents a heads-up about some road work taking place along a section of Colfax Road on Monday, Sept. 23.
Crews from Tilcon will be paving the northbound lanes of Colfax, from Hamburg Turnpike to Tulip Terrace. Through traffic will be maintained, though there will be some lane closures and shifts and drivers should expect delays, police said.
Police told drivers to remain alert to the construction equipment, watch carefully for workers, and pay attention to signs and temporary traffic patterns. Tilcon is contracted on behalf of PSE&G.

The work is weather-permitting and subject to change. Wayne PD did not say exactly what time on Monday that the work will be taking place.
