Find Foster Kittens A Home For The Holidays Through Wayne-Based Rescue

FOWA Rescue is hosting a cat and kitten adoption event on Friday and Saturday, with many felines looking for a loving home.

RIVERDALE, NJ — If you've been thinking about adding a cat or kitten to your family this holiday season, a Wayne-based animal rescue is hosting two adoption events this weekend.

FOWA Rescue will have adoptable cats and kittens ready to greet you from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Mike's Feed Farm in Riverdale (90 Hamburg Turnpike). Volunteers will also be there to answer any questions and "help you find that purrfect friend."

There will be special adoption rates and giveaways during the weekend, and pet parents can also pick up new cat beds, carriers, and toys at the store.

The rescue is accepting applications online, and all applications have to be approved before the cat or kitten goes to their new home. All of the adoptable felines have been raised in foster homes, so they are comfortable around people and being part of a household routine.

Also, all adoptable cats and kittens have been completely vaccinated, spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV and micro-chipped.
