Find The 'Purr-fect' Valentine At Special Cat Adoption Event In Wayne

Plenty of cats and kittens at FOWA Rescue are looking for love —​ here's when you can meet them at a Valentine's Day adoption event.

WAYNE, NJ — As Valentine's Day approaches, cats and kittens at a Wayne-based animal rescue are hoping that a local family might fall in love and adopt them.

Volunteers from FOWA Rescue will be at Mike's Feed Farm in Riverdale on Saturday and Sunday for a Valentine's Day adoption event.

"There will be a lot of beautiful FOWA cats and kittens available for adoption," the rescue said. "We will be offering a special adoption fee for those who come to this event as well as special giveaways!"

You can find your "purr-fect" match at Mike's Feed Farm (90 Hamburg Turnpike, Riverdale NJ) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Feb. 8, and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Feb. 9. The rescue also will provide a starter kit for any first-time cat owner adopting a kitten at this event.

People interested in adopting a cat or kitten may apply online, to get the process started early. If volunteers can approve the application in time, families might get to take their new cat home with them that day.

All cats and kittens that FOWA adopts out are completely vaccinated, spayed/neutered, tested for feline leukemia virus and feline immunodeficiency virus, and micro-chipped.
