First Major Snow Possible In Wayne This Weekend: See Forecast

A winter storm looks set to dump snow over parts of the state this weekend, with gusty winds also a factor.

WAYNE, NJ — A major storm this weekend could break the “snow drought” that Wayne and much of New Jersey have been in since the last significant snowfall along the East Coast, forecasters said.

AccuWeather and National Weather Service experts predicted that a strong coastal system will hit the state this weekend with heavy precipitation and gusty winds, and also some flakes in the forecast for the Garden State. The best chance for snow will be along the I-78 corridor, and points north and west of the interstate, said forecasters.

As of the latest NWS forecast, Wayne Township is expected to see some snow beginning on Saturday afternoon, continuing overnight into Sunday. Blustery winds will also be on tap for the weekend, said forecasters.
