Flooding, Heavy Rainfall Possible In Wayne On Wednesday: Forecast
The National Weather Service placed the county under a flood watch, with up to three inches of rain possible.
WAYNE, NJ — Excessive rainfall may lead to flooding around Morris County on Wednesday with another storm looming this weekend, forecasters said.
The National Weather Service placed Passaic County under a flood watch from Wednesday afternoon through late Wednesday night, with between two and three inches of rain possible. Forecaster said that creeks and streams may rise past their banks, and flooding could occur in urban areas and those with poor drainage.
After rain this weekend and a period of showers on Tuesday, forecasters with the NWS said another round of heavy rain is expected for Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday night. Another 1 to 3 inches of precipitation are expected, and there is a chance of significant river flooding throughout much of North Jersey.
