Goldflies played with founding member Dickey Betts and Great Southern during the band's late-70s hiatus, and was the bassist from 1978-82 for the Allman Brothers.

He "is recognized by many fans as one of the Allman Brothers' most dynamic bass players, with his playing akin to the aggressive style of original Allman Brothers' bassist, Berry Oakley," the event page says.
