Free Food, 'Real Housewives' Appearance At Wayne PrimoHoagies Opening

WAYNE, NJ — Hoagie lovers will be lining up in Wayne on Tuesday in the hopes of scoring free sandwiches, and a t-shirt that will earn them free chips for life at certain North Jersey PrimoHoagies locations.

PrimoHoagies announced it will open its newest location in Wayne, at 1168 Hamburg Pike, at 10 a.m. on Aug. 29. There will be a ribbon-cutting at 9:45, with one of the New Jersey stars of the "Real Housewives" franchise set to make an appearance.

The first 100 customers in line, who also are members of the PrimoHoagies rewards program, will be offered a free "Primo Size" hoagie, and a free T-shirt that will earn them free PrimoHoagies chips for life if they wear it to the following locations: Mahwah, Clover Stadium, Rockaway, and Wayne, NJ.

Teresa Giudice, one of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," will appear from 9:40-11 a.m. for Tuesday’s opening, the hoagie chain said.

"For the rest of Grand Opening day, customers in the rewards program will enjoy half-off Primo Size Hoagies," the restaurant said.

PrimoHoagies originally opened in South Philadelphia in 1992, and "prides itself on serving the highest quality Thumann's meats and cheeses, sliced fresh, piled high, on their award-winning seeded bread."

North Jersey residents Felix Galinsky and Anthony Falange are the owners, and both said they are excited to open up in Wayne and provide catering to local corporate, community, school and sporting events.

“With the fresh, Italian-style menu items and true mom-and-pop spirit of PrimoHoagies, plus being family-owned and working alongside my wife and devoted team members every day, we've built a tight-knit family atmosphere across all of our locations,” said Galinsky in a statement. “It's been incredible to witness the growth, and we're thrilled to finally bring our passion to the Wayne community!”

Galinsky introduced PrimoHoagies to the North Jersey region and has since expanded, with the owners choosing Wayne based in part on popular demand.

"With its strong Italian presence, bustling traffic and vibrant atmosphere, Galinsky and Falange knew Wayne would be a perfect location for the next PrimoHoagies," the Westville-based company said.

The 2,500-square-foot store is expected to employ about 10-15 people, and will provide dine-in with additional outdoor seating, takeout, and delivery options. The Wayne location will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, PrimoHoagies said.

“We have such an amazing and supportive community here in Wayne and we’re looking forward to providing exceptional catering for corporate and community events, as well as working with local high schools and colleges in the area providing delicious hoagies for their sporting events," Falange said.
