Free Rabies Vaccine Clinic Coming Up For Wayne Dogs + Cats
Need to get your pet vaccinated against rabies? A free shot clinic is coming up in Wayne Township.

WAYNE, NJ — Any Wayne cat and dog owners wanting to get their pets a rabies vaccine has an opportunity coming up in the township, as officials prepare for a free vaccination clinic.
The clinic will be Sunday, May 7 at Captain Kilroy Memorial Park (6 Concord Place) from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Cats must be in carriers or containers to prevent their escape, and dogs must be on a non-retractable leash so technicians may take them safely to get their shot.

Puppies and kittens under three months of age are generally considered too young to receive a rabies vaccine according to the state Department of Health.
Proof of a 2023 cat or dog license is required for the free clinic, said township officials. Owners who do not have a license for their animal yet may do so on the Wayne Citizen Service Portal.
