'Gifted Student' And Musician Ryan Named A Wayne Star Student
Ryan's nominators celebrated his academic and musical achievements. He will study aerospace engineering and aims to develop spacecraft.

WAYNE, NJ — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
These submission comes from Roberta and from Ronald, who both nominated high school senior Ryan of Wayne. They highlighted his leadership at Mock Trial Team, his percussion playing in the Bergen Catholic Jazz Band, and was part of a select group of students interning at Holy Name Hospital.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
From Roberta: "Ryan is a true leader. As a strategic member of the Mock Trial Team he played multiple roles that led the team to winning the County Championship. He is also a percussion member of the Bergen Catholic Jazz Band which has won several competitions. As a result of his hard work, as a senior he is a member of the first Holy Name Hospital internship class. He and his classmates created real world solutions to current issues in medicine."
From Ronald: "Ryan is a gifted student with a 4.0 GPA who is a member of the National Honor Society, English, Math, Spanish, History and Music Honor Societies.Ryan is a four year jazz ensemble drummer who has performed in multiple concerts and venues, including helping his team to finish second in a his high school competition in Hershey Pennsylvania. Ryan was also a member of the Bergen County championship mock trial team for 2023. Ryan also was part of a select group of students who interned in a partnership between Bergen Catholic high school, and Holy Name Hospital."

From Roberta: "Ryan's leadership skills are recognized by both students and staff."
From Ronald: "Ryan’s interest in science and math has led him to pursue a degree in aerospace engineering to build the next generation spacecraft."
