Halloween Shooting Suspect Nabbed In Passaic Co., Cops Say
Wayne police arrested the Clifton man hours after the shooting, prosecutors said.

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — Police have made an arrest following an investigation into a shooting last week in Paterson, officials said.
Yousif Awadallah, 46, of Clifton, was arrested last week after an investigation placed his finger on the trigger in a shooting that put a man in the hospital, police said.
On Oct. 31, around 4:15 a.m., Paterson police responded to Summer Street and 21st Avenue on reports of shots fired.

Authorities found a 31-year-old man had been shot and rushed him to a nearby hospital. His wounds were not fatal, police added.
An investigation revealed that Awadallah was responsible for the shooting, and Wayne police arrested him near Route 23 and Old Turnpike Road in Paterson later that day, prosecutors said.

Awadallah is charged with three counts of aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon, among several other weapons charges.
Passaic County prosecutors are seeking pre-trial detention for Awadallah as he awaits court proceedings.
