Lessons & Carols Service at Cedar Crest's Interfaith Chapel
The Protestant Community of Cedar Crest will hold Annual Service of Lessons and Carols on Sunday, December 14 at 10 am

The Protestant Community of Cedar Crest, an Erickson Senior Living Community in Pompton Plains, NJ, will hold its 18th Annual Service of Lessons and Carols in the Interfaith Chapel on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
The Lessons and Carols concept originated at King's College, Cambridge, during World War II and has been broadcast annually on Christmas Eve or Day ever since.
The service features the Protestant choir singing several anthems, and the congregation is encouraged to join in the singing of beloved carols. Readings of scripture provide the Christmas Story starting from the creation in the book of Genesis and Original Sin to the birth of the Christ Child and redemption for His believers.
