Daly said an officer stopped Vasquez-Hernandez’s car in the Willowbrook Mall parking lot on Sunday because he was “driving in a reckless manner.” He was the only person in the car, police said.
The car’s plate — a temporary license plate from Maryland — was traced back to another vehicle, said Daly.

After searching the car, police found "several purses and approximately 30 bottles of fragrances," that police said were valued at about $4,000 and came from Willowbrook Mall’s Macy’s store, Daly said.
Police also found that Vasquez-Hernandez had a warrant for assault from East Windsor, said Daly.
