Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum welcomes the sights and sounds of New Jersey’s beautiful birds with a morning walk on Saturdays, October 12, 19 and 26 at 8 am (rain dates October 13, 20 and 27). Walkers meet at the Sensory Garden located near the Vale Road parking lot at Laurelwood Arboretum, 725 Pines Lake Drive West, Wayne.

“On our bird walks, we follow three easy steps—listen, observe, identify—as we stroll along the beautiful woodland trails to spot colorful spring migrants, as well as our friendly year-round residents,” said walk leader Sharon Lewis. Walks are geared toward beginners, but all levels are welcome. For a better birding experience, wear appropriate attire, bug spray and sunblock, and bring binoculars.
