New Career Ahead: Passaic Co. Job And Resource Fair Happening In Wayne Wednesday

Almost 70 employers will be on-site, from fields such as healthcare, security, manufacturing, and retail. Workshops are also on the docket:

WAYNE, NJ — Local job seekers are encouraged to stop by William Paterson University for the Passaic County Career Resource and Job Fair, where they can attend several workshops and visit with representatives from multiple industries.

The job fair is Wednesday, Aug. 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the University Commons Ballrooms on the main campus, 300 Pompton Road in Wayne. Attendees can meet with representatives from about 68 companies, and check out different workshops providing career/job searching advice.

This event is free, and those who plan to attend are asked to register online by clicking here. Parking is also free, and New Jersey Transit Bus No. 744 stops on site.

The three scheduled workshops are: "Résumé Revamp: Crafting Your Path to Success," "The Art of Job Hunting: Unlocking Opportunities Using Social Media/LinkedIn," and "Ace the Interview: Master the Art of Impression."

Organizers said that corporate, government, and nonprofit agencies will be there seeking to hire workers in various fields, including: Healthcare, security, retail/sales, financial, transportation, materials management, government, manufacturing, trade unions, and life sciences.
