New Pub, Restaurant Opens Its Doors In Wayne Township
The new joint says it blends "elevated comfort food, exceptional service, live music, and a vibrant bar scene."
WAYNE, NJ — A new bar and restaurant has opened its doors in the heart of Wayne Township.
Brokedown Palace, located at 95 Mountainview Boulevard, is officially open for business.
The new gastropub and lounge replaced Mother’s Ale House after it closed in 2022. It’s owned by 805 Hospitality, which also operates The Mason Jar in Mahwah and The Tavern @ The Iron Horse on in Westwood.

The new joint, which shares its name with the 1970 Grateful Dead song, says it blends “elevated comfort food, exceptional service, live music, and a vibrant bar scene.”
The rustic environment will also be lined with televisions for patrons to enjoy the game on.

“With its cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and a menu bursting with mouthwatering dishes, it's the perfect place to unwind and savor a delightful meal,” a statement read. “Our diverse menu caters to every palate, whether you're looking for a leisurely dinner with loved ones, a quick lunch catch-up with friends, or a solo meal at the bar.”
Along with a variety of draft beers and specialty cocktails, Brokedown Palace’s menu features pub favorites including fried pickles, smash burgers, pasta dishes, pizzas, and more.
The place will also be hosting DJs at night, turning the rustic restaurant/bar into a high-energy, club-like lounge. See the establishment’s Instagram for DJ lineups.
The pub opens seven days a week at 11:30 a.m. It closes at midnight Sunday to Wednesday, and 3 a.m. Thursday to Saturday.
