As a note — Academy Bus had previously been awarded the contract to operate the Passaic County routes beginning in September, but they will begin these routes on Saturday.
Academy Bus will also take over the affected routes in Bergen County, and NJT will operate three in Hudson County.
"Customers on all of these routes...will see no difference in the schedules, fares, routes, bus stops, or the look of the buses," NJT said. "Customers should continue to purchase tickets in the same manner as they previously did."
