Next Free Shredding Event In Wayne Township Is Saturday

WAYNE, NJ — If you've found some old papers you'd like to get rid of while doing spring cleaning this year, Wayne Township is holding their next free shredding event on Saturday.

This allows residents to destroy confidential documents, like financial statements or other sensitive papers, safely and securely.

The event will take place rain or shine on Saturday, April 5 in the front parking lot of the Wayne Municipal Building (475 Valley Road) from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Residents must show proof that they live in Wayne Township, and are allowed to bring the equivalent of four banker boxes' worth of documents.

"Documents should be in cardboard boxes or reusable containers, not plastic bags," officials said. "The boxes and containers will be returned after the materials are dumped."
