North Jersey Native Named People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive (It's Paul Rudd)

PASSAIC, NJ — We all know North Jersey's Patch sites have the best-looking readership. But the region isn't the first place most think of when it comes to the best-looking, or sexiest, places.

One actor, however, is bucking the stereotype. People Magazine named North Jersey native Paul Rudd its 2021 Sexiest Man Alive.

This is the second straight year that someone who grew up in North Jersey won the title. Michael B. Jordan, who moved to Newark at age 2, earned "Sexiest Man Alive" last year.

Rudd was born in Passaic. The North Jersey son has gone on to star in films from "Clueless" to "Avengers: Endgame." He now lives in Rhinebeck, New York, with his wife, Julie Yaeger, and children Jack Sullivan and Darby.

The actor joked to People Magazine that he'll finally get invited to "sexy dinners" with past winners Jordan, George Clooney and Brad Pitt. Rudd said his wife was initially "stupefied" after he told her the news.

"But you know she was very sweet about it," he told People Magazine. "After some giggling and shock, she said 'Oh, they got it right.' And that was very sweet. She was probably not telling the truth, but what's she going to say?"
