Omnium Circus Returns To Wayne, With A Performance Accessible To All

The show "I'm Possible" is presented in English and ASL, with a live audio description and other ways to make it inclusive for everyone.

WAYNE, NJ — A one-of-a-kind circus will dazzle audiences in Wayne again this Sunday, while ensuring every member of the community feels welcome and comfortable at the circus.

Omnium Circus features a cast of performers with different abilities, who also represent the diverse communities they will visit during their 2024 Fall Tour, with a show called "I'm Possible." This Queens-based circus company is dedicated to celebrating diversity and making the thrill and joy of the circus accessible for everyone.

Omnium is the only circus where all shows are presented in both English and American Sign Language. At this show, will also be live audio description, sensory-friendly seating, tactile experiences, and other ways to make the "jaw dropping, awe inspiring, joyful" show inclusive — and enjoyable — to all.

"'I’m Possible' tells the story of Johnny, a young boy who dreams of joining the circus," the performance description reads. "Audiences follow Johnny’s inspirational journey as he enters a world featuring beautiful aerial artistry, daring hand balancing, the world’s fastest female juggler, a Guinness World Record holding crossbow act, free standing ladder, contortion, comedy and even a performer who hangs by her hair. It’s a show for all ages that is not to be missed!"

The show is at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20, at the Shea Performing Arts Center on the campus of William Paterson University (300 Pompton Road, Wayne). Tickets are $20-$25.
