WAYNE, NJ — Part of Alps Road is closed in Wayne on Tuesday due to public safety activity, according to officials.

Township police said Alps Road is closed from Maple Avenue to French Hill Road, and first put out a traffic alert at 11:40 a.m. The closure is still active as of 1:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Police did not specify why exactly the road had closed. Patch will update this article with any additional information.
