Pedestrian Hospitalized After Being Hit By Bus In North Jersey
The 29-year-old woman had serious injuries to her lower legs, officials said.

CLIFTON, NJ — A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a bus on Thursday evening in Clifton, police said.
Officers responded to the collision just before 6 p.m., near the intersection of Clifton Avenue and Lexington Avenue. A 29-year-old woman had been hit by a New Jersey Transit bus and had serious injuries to her lower legs, according to police.
First responders transported the Clifton resident to St. Joseph's Hospital. Her injuries, though serious, were not expected to be life threatening.

The bus driver remained on scene, police said. A New Jersey Transit spokesperson clarified that the bus was operated by Academy Express, a private carrier that provides service on several Passaic County routes.
The Clifton Fire Department also responded to the scene with firefighters and EMS units, police said. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
