After 40 Years In Wayne, Preakness Gourmet Deli To Close After Saturday

WAYNE, NJ — A longstanding Wayne business will soon shut its doors. Preakness Gourmet Deli will close permanently after 40 years.

The business, which opened in 1982, will open for the last time Saturday and operate until 3 p.m. The deli thanked employees, customers and the community on its website and Facebook page.

"We will miss serving you and having you as part of our family," the post said. "The relationships we have made over the last 40 years are truly remarkable. Your memories will forever be in our hearts."

Preakness Gourmet Deli is located in the Preakness Shopping Center at 1210 Hamburg Tpke.
