Appointments are available but not required. Masks and social distancing will be required, and officials ask that no more than two people per pet attend.

Dogs must be restrained with a non-retractable leash to allow for a quick and easy transfer to the veterinarian or technician for vaccination. Cats must be transported in suitable carriers or containers to prevent escape.

License fee for cats is $8.00 for neutered/spayed and $15.00 for non-neutered/non-spayed. A $10.00 late fee will be charged for each animal anytime after Feb. 15. Pet Portraits with Santa

10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2-5 p.m. Nov. 7, Captain Michael Kilroy Memorial Park, 6 Concord Pl.

Pets of all types are invited to sit with Santa. Because of COVID restrictions, pet families may sit for a portrait without Saint Nick. Appointments are recommended.

Everyone attending will be required to wear a mask and social distance. The sitting fee is $20 — cash or check, no credit cards. This includes a 5-inch by 7-inch portrait. Other packages are available for purchase.

The portrait or photo packages will be available for pick up at the Wayne Animal Shelter the week of Dec. 6. Proceeds benefit the shelter.
