Registration Begins Soon For Wayne Kindergarteners, New First Graders
Here's what to know if your child will enter kindergarten or be a new first-grade student at Wayne Schools next year.
WAYNE, NJ — The Wayne Township School District is preparing to get new kindergarten and first grade students registered for the 2025-2026 school year.
Registration will take place through each of the district's elementary schools between Feb. 7 and Feb. 27, the district said.
Parents or guardians must go to wayneschools.com during that time period and complete the online registration process, then the school will call or email them to finalize registration.

Children must be 5 years old on or before Oct. 15, 2025 to be eligible to attend kindergarten in September, per district policy.
Before they register, parents and guardians are asked to have the required documents prepared. This includes a home language survey, the child's doctor and insurance information, and proof of residency.
