See When Wayne Residents Can Attend First Master Plan Update Meetings
Residents are invited to share their perspectives and get updates on the process at one of three upcoming sessions.

WAYNE, NJ — Do you have ideas for how to make Wayne a better place, or questions about the township's new Master Plan? Residents are invited to share their perspectives and get updates on the process at one of three upcoming sessions.
The Master Plan provides a framework for Wayne Township's future growth and development, covering everything from community facilities to utilities to environmental concerns to economic growth.
Township Planner Chris Kok said the sessions will cover the results of the first public survey, but go into deeper detail than just the "strengths and weaknesses" mentioned in that survey. These meetings are an opportunity for residents to learn about the planning process and Master Plan update, and share their ideas about how the township should grow and develop.

Wayne Township has not created a new Master Plan in 30 years, though amendments have been made over the years, and officials also have reviewed the 1994 document periodically. The Master Plan will include chapters that focus on land use and development, open space and recreation, community facilities, transportation and mobility, and utility services.
