The SUV is reportedly still stuck in the road, but officials were able to rescue the driver with an aerial tower truck.

WAYNE, NJ — A semi truck and an SUV got stuck on Thursday night when a sinkhole opened in Wayne, and first responders had to rescue one of the drivers.
According to police, a North Jersey Water Commission main broke under Demarest Drive just after 5 p.m., causing a large amount of water to gush out and the roadway to collapse.
A tractor-trailer and an SUV became trapped in craters caused by the flooding, said Detective Captain Dan Daly of Wayne Police. Officers responded and closed the road to additional traffic, and a tow truck arrived to pull out the semi truck.
