Snow, Freezing Rain Possible Overnight In Wayne: See Forecast
A winter weather advisory has been issued in other parts of Passaic County until Wednesday morning.
WAYNE, NJ — Some snow and sleet overnight could make for a messy commute in Wayne on Wednesday morning in another round of wet weather, forecasters said.
The National Weather Service forecast predicts rain, snow, and sleet before 1 a.m. Wednesday morning, and then snow mixed in with possible freezing rain and sleet before 4 a.m. And though little to no accumulation is expected, forecasters cautioned that "even a small amount of freezing rain is capable of producing hazardous conditions."
While there is no winter weather advisory for Wayne Township as of late Tuesday morning, there is one in western parts of the county, which is in effect until 10 a.m. Wednesday.

"Plan on slippery road conditions," the advisory said. "The hazardous conditions could impact both the evening and morning commute."

Tuesday: A 40 percent chance of rain, mainly before 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 39. Calm wind.
Tuesday Night: Rain, snow, and sleet likely before 1am, then snow likely, possibly mixed with freezing rain and sleet between 1am and 4am, then a slight chance of rain, snow, and sleet after 4am. Cloudy, with a low around 33. Light east wind. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. Little or no ice accumulation expected. Little or no snow and sleet accumulation expected.
Wednesday: A slight chance of rain and snow before 7am, then a chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 39. Light east wind. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
Wednesday Night: Rain likely, mainly after 1am. Cloudy, with a steady temperature around 39. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Thursday: Rain. High near 50. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Thursday Night: Rain. Low around 45. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
