WAYNE, NJ — Several inches of snow are in the forecast for Wayne Township over the weekend as the latest winter storm hits the area.
Around 1 p.m. Saturday, snow will begin in Central and North Jersey with a wintry mix in the south, according to the National Weather Service. Forecasters warn that the snow will be "wet and sticky," and could cause localized power outages and tree damage. Roads will also be slippery.
For Wayne, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from noon on Saturday until 1 a.m. on Sunday. The National Weather Service predicts mixed precipitation — between two and four inches of snow, and some light ice accumulation as well.

Sunday: Rain before 1pm, then showers, mainly after 1pm. High near 47. East wind 6 to 8 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
Sunday night: Showers likely before 7pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
