More Snow In Wayne, Then Sunny Skies: President's Day Weekend Forecast
Snow accumulations and re-freezing could cause slippery conditions on Saturday and Sunday morning, forecasters said.
WAYNE, NJ — Another round of snow is set to fall in New Jersey to begin this weekend, with Wayne Township predicted to get an inch or two of accumulation before sun is in the forecast for President's Day on Monday.
The Friday night storm will begin about 10 p.m. in North Jersey, and is set to wrap by later Saturday afternoon. Passaic County is under a winter weather advisory until 1 p.m. Saturday, with 2 to 3 inches of snow possible.
“Low pressure passing to the south will cause snow to overspread the region after rush hour tonight,” the National Weather Service said. “Steady snow ends early Saturday morning, but some snow showers may linger into the afternoon.”

The new snow will also begin to melt Saturday and may freeze overnight, prompting possible icy patches for Garden State residents traveling Sunday morning.
AccuWeather meteorologists note that, though the quick-hitter won't produce prolific snowfall, it can still cause travel disruptions into the weekend. Philadelphia and Atlantic City are slated for 3 to 4 inches of snow during Friday's storm; a small accumulation of snow may also reach New York City, though storm developments can still alter the path and strength of the impacts on the Garden State.
