RINGWOOD, NJ — A North Jersey woman says she became permanently disabled after slipping on loose Brussels sprouts at a ShopRite, and is suing the store and its parent company for $3 million.

Ringwood resident Linda Swedin says that on Dec. 28 2023, she was walking in the produce section of ShopRite in Wyckoff when she slipped and fell on the sprouts, which were on the floor.

The suit, filed Jan. 29 in Bergen County Superior Court, said Swedin suffered pain, shock, and mental anguish, and that she is incapacitated and permanently disabled after the fall.
