Here’s Why Angelina Was Shouted Out As A Wayne Star Student

WAYNE, NJ — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Elisa, who nominated daughter Angelina of Wayne and says the 11th-grader "is there for anyone who needs her, any time." Here's more about how she has helped a friend's family and other children in the community:

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Angelina hand made 100’s of bracelets to raise money and support for a friends family when their son was diagnosed with a rare cancer. This past Christmas she created Elf on the Shelf Kits to raise money for toys for our local communities. She also donated 40 science exploration kits to the Children’s unit at CHOP to have to open Christmas morning along with things others had donated. In April she is helping to style the children walking in the Fashion show at the Fashion with Compassion event to raise money for St Joseph’s Children’s Center.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

She is kind, compassionate, excels in school but mostly is there for anyone who needs her, any time.
