Star Student: Hardworking Athlete + Scholar Ivana Celebrated In Wayne
Ivana is a varsity athlete and honors student who "is always open to new experiences and learning something new," her nominator says.
WAYNE, NJ — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Cheryl Ann who nominated her daughter Ivana of Wayne. Cheryl praised Ivana's inner drive, saying she "strives to be at her personal best at all times" and has maintained honors her entire academic career.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
She has maintained honors her entire academic career thus far. She is in all AP and honors course. She is a member of the National Honor Society, National Math Honor Society and Language Honor Society. She has been a varsity member of her soccer team since 9th grade and a member of multiple clubs. She is an honest, humble, sweet and caring young lady who strives to be at her personal best at all times. She has always set goals for herself and holds herself to a high standard.

She is warm, caring, funny and is always open to new experiences and learning something new
