‘Stranger Things’ Finale Screening In Wayne Movie Theaters Soon

WAYNE, NJ — The long-awaited final season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things” has arrived, and the streaming giant is doing things a bit differently for the series’ finale.

On New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, movie theaters across the country, including in Wayne, will be screening the final episode of the Emmy-award-winning sci-fi series.

Netflix dropped the first four episodes of the final season on Nov. 26. The next three episodes will be available to stream on Christmas Day, with the finale hitting Netflix (and movie theaters) on Dec. 31.

Here’s the season five synopsis, provided by AMC Theaters:

“The fall of 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time.”

AMC Wayne 14: 67 Willowbrook Blvd

On New Year's Eve, AMC Wayne 14 will be showing four screenings of the highly anticipated finale. Showtimes are 8 p.m., 8:15 p.m., 8:45 p.m., and 9:15 p.m.

On New Year’s Day, AMC Wayne 14 will have screenings at 9:15 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 4 p.m., 7:30 p.m., and 9:30 p.m.

Cinemark Willowbrook Mall XD: 360 Willowbrook Mall

On New Year's Eve, Cinemark Willowbrook Mall will be showing four screenings of the episode. Showtimes are 8 p.m., 8:05 p.m., 11:25 p.m., and 11:30 p.m.

On New Year’s Day, the theater will have screenings at 8:10 a.m., 8:30 a.m.,11 a.m., 12:05 p.m., 1:50 p.m., 3:40 p.m., 4:40 p.m., 7:15 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 10:35 p.m., and 10:50 p.m.
