Wayne Car Thief Nabbed, Police Say
The suspect is accused of stealing a truck and burglarizing other cars in the area, police said.
WAYNE, NJ — A man has been arrested for his role in stealing a landscaping truck, according to the Wayne Township Police Department.
In the wee morning hours of Nov. 3, Wayne police discovered a truck that was reported stolen out of Totowa on Boonstra Drive in Wayne.
Investigators canvassed the area, seeking surveillance footage. Video showed a suspect burglarizing cars in the neighborhood.

Further investigation led police to believe the suspect in the video was the same one who stole the truck out of Totowa.
After sharing the video with neighboring law enforcement, Paterson police recognized the suspect to be Moises Echevarria, 44, of Paterson.

Once authorities were alerted that the suspect was Echevarria, he was apprehended by Paterson police.
Echevarria is charged with receiving stolen property, theft of a motor vehicle, burglary of a motor vehicle, two counts of theft, and two counts of attempted burglary of a motor vehicle.
He was taken to the Morris County Jail to await court proceedings.
