Wayne Hills High School Scholars Recognized

Dozens of students were recognized for a variety of scholarship programs.

WAYNE, NJ — Dozens of Wayne high schoolers were recently honored for their academic performance, with several being named scholars in some capacity.

On Nov. 13, the Wayne Board of Education recognized students for their academic achievements with the National Merit and Advanced Placement Scholarship Program.

Every September, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation announces semifinalists for a $2,000-per-year grant for college. The semifinalists are determined by high PSAT scores. More than 1.3 million high school students applied for the scholarship last school year. Two of this year’s finalists, Ritvik Mussani and Shaunak Soni, attend Wayne Hills High School.
