Wayne Superintendent Search: How Parents, Students Can Share Feedback
The board is anticipating to name the district's next superintendent by May 1.
WAYNE, NJ — After 10 years with Dr. Mark Toback at the helm, the Wayne Township School Board is undergoing the search for a new superintendent as Toback prepares for retirement.
Parents, students, residents, and alumni are asked to share their "thoughts, concerns and hopes for the future of our school district" during this important process. There are two ways to do so: By taking an online survey, and participating in an upcoming community forum on Jan. 27, 28, or 30.
The survey asks community members what qualities they think are important for a superintendent, their ideal candidates' past experience, and what their hopes are for the future of the district.

High school students will be given time in school to complete their own survey. Parents of K-8 students are encouraged to discuss the questions with their children before submitting their answers.
During the Community Open Forums, residents can give their feedback directly to the search consultants and board members.
