WAYNE, NJ - The Wayne Valley High School Competition Cheer team wrapped up a season filled with a slew of awards, helping the Indians to maintain its reputation as one of the top programs in the state.
On Feb. 29, the team claimed its fourth straight New Jersey State Championship, which included titles in three separate categories - Co-ed All Music, Co-ed Cheer/Dance, and the Group III Cheer/ Dance Divisions.
Over the past two months, Wayne Valley dominated their opposition, finishing in first place at all six regular season competitions, and garnering overall champion honors at four of those competitions. The winning continued in the post season as the Indians emerged as Big North Conference Champions for the fourth consecutive year.
