Wayne's New Chamber Of Commerce Is Up And Running

The Chamber is looking to promote and connect Wayne businesses, and increase their presence in the community. Here's how to get involved:

WAYNE, NJ — Local leaders toasted the official launch of Wayne Township's new Chamber of Commerce last week, as the organization seeks to promote and support the town's businesses.

The chamber's Board of Directors mingled with local business representatives at the Wayne Ale House on Wednesday, and shared their vision for what this organization will accomplish.

The stated mission of the new Wayne Chamber is "to serve as the leading voice for Wayne businesses, to connect our members, increase their visibility, create opportunities to promote your business, provide valuable resources to support the growth and success of your business and to offer dynamic involvement with the community."

Wayne was formerly served by the Tri-County Chamber of Commerce, which is now defunct.

Who Can Join? This chamber is dedicated to supporting businesses located in Wayne and business leaders who live in Wayne. There will be events open to non-members, who want to network with Chamber members.

“To achieve this mission, we envision a modern Chamber of Commerce,” said President of the Chamber, Joe Graziano. “One that is transparent in our dealings, forward-thinking and ever involved in creating opportunities for our members to create the relationships and provide the support they need to achieve their goals.”

At this week’s launch event, he spoke of opportunities for connections within the chamber and with “local community leaders.” He talked about an “aggressive marketing and recruiting” plan to increase membership, monthly functions for education, promotions and connections, and how the Chamber will be a “resource” for businesses in Wayne.

The Board of Directors for the new Chamber were also introduced at the launch event:
