What’s the Buzz at Laurelwood Arboretum?

Discover the Magic of Pollinators with the GreenQuest Nature Club

(Lourdes Osorio)

Join us for an exciting adventure into the world of butterflies, bees, birds, and other essential pollinators. The GreenQuest Nature Club invites children in grades 2 through 6 to the first program in a nature-based series, to be held on Wednesday, May 21, from 5:00 to 6:30 PM at the Knippenberg Center for Education at Laurelwood Arboretum, 725 Pines Lake Drive, Wayne. Each session includes an engaging, educational talk followed by a hands-on outdoor activity—perfect for curious young minds eager to learn and explore.

The program is free to attend, but space is limited to 20 children. Registration is required, and each child must be accompanied by an adult. To register, go to www.laurelwoodarboretum.org.

The GreenQuest Nature Club is led by four Wayne Hills High School students with expertise in environmental science, art, and photography. Avni Lende, who is in 10th grade, has been with the program since 7th grade and is an officer in the school’s Green Club. Faryah Schwarz, a senior, loves exploring nature through photography, while 10th grader Liv Kaplan focuses on art. Tayyibah Akther, a sophomore, is a member of the school’s environmental club.
