WAYNE, NJ — In the words of the 1980s power ballad, you don't know what you got till it's gone. This can easily apply to local businesses, as a recent Wayne Patch discussion had readers longing for the township's establishments of the past.

Wayne Patch asked readers the following: If you could bring back one local business that closed in town (it doesn't matter how long ago), which would it be?

Some of the responses included recent closures, such as Preakness Gourmet Deli, which shuttered in late January. Others included blasts from the past, such as the Old Barn Milk Bar — one of the most popular answers — which operated until 2002, according to northjersey.com.
