WAYNE, NJ — Parts of Passaic County could see two inches of snow to close out the week as a storm moves into New Jersey, according to National Weather Service estimates.

Little to no snow accumulation is expected in Wayne Township at this time, but there is rain expected on Thursday and Friday as temperatures fall. Highs on Thursday will be near 50, with breezy and wet conditions in the morning. Friday will also be cloudy and windy, with a high near 42.

In West Milford, where firefighters recently contained a 2,200-acre wildfire, forecasters call for up to two inches of snow between Thursday night and Friday. The much-needed moisture will help put out any smoldering remnants of that fire.
