Fisher was riding his Harley Davidson east on County Road 625 in Dennis Township. Cape May County, when his motorcycle ran off the road and struck a guardrail early Sunday morning, according to New Jersey State Trooper Jeff Flynn.

No other cars were involved in the accident and no one else was on the motorcycle at the time of the crash, Flynn said. The accident remains under investigation.

Fisher loved riding his motorcycle, according to his online obituary. He was also known for playing guitar, was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved playing with his nieces.

His life touched many, as friends and family took to social media to honor him. A friend made a tribute video in his honor that was posted to YouTube, shared on social media and can be seen below.

“My heart is at a sudden stop, I am in disbelief. All of the laughs and heart to hearts we had. A1 day 1. I am surely going to miss you,” another friend posted on social media.

“Just an all around great guy, huge smile, funny, told you how it was, there for friends and family when needed. Such a huge loss for us all,” another wrote.

“It is with deep sadness we hear of the passing of our fellow brother Jason Fisher,” wrote another. “Please take a moment and remember what the fire service meant to Jay. As sad as we are, he would want you all to beam with pride knowing that his brothers and sisters from the emergency services were there to support his family. Remember his death in all your hearts and minds, and never forget. But also go forward for that is what Jay would want you to do.”
