Obituary: Robert Eber Gipe

Robert Eber Gipe, of Woolwich Twp. and former resident of Moorestown NJ, passed away on August 9, 2014 at age 67. He was the son of the late Eber and Arlene Gipe of Hagerstown, MD.

Robert was a 1969 graduate of the University of Maryland and earned a master’s degree from Salisbury University.

He served in the US Army. Robert worked in retail for 30 years and later began a second career in education in the Vineland Public Schools System and as an adjunct professor at the Salem Community College.

He is survived by his wife Susan (nee Elgin); his son Adam C. Gipe, and his wife, Kristin; his daughter Kathryn Gipe Talone and her husband Albert J. Talone; and four grandchildren. He is the brother of Dennis, Cherie Gipe Mitchell, Rodney Timothy and Randy.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6- 8 pm at the Lewis Funeral Home, 78 E. Main St. Moorestown, NJ.

Funeral service at 10 am Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, Camden and Pleasant Valley Ave. Moorestown, NJ.
