Evergreen Avenue Elementary School is a couple blocks up the road. Law enforcement advised school officials that the suspect may have ran through the school parking lot while fleeing the scene, said Woodbury Schools Superintendent Andrew T. Bell, Sr.
All after-school clubs and activities were placed on lockdown "out of an abundance of caution," Bell said Wednesday in a letter to the district community.

"That lockdown has since been lifted following guidance from law enforcement, and students are being dismissed safely," Bell said. "At to time was there an active threat inside the school building."
More incident information will be forthcoming, said Woodbury Police Chief Thomas Ryan.
Evergreen Avenue School is a PreK-5 institution with about 320 students, according to state data.
