South Jersey Family Wins 'The Great Christmas Light Fight'
Dan Uszaki, 43, says he still believes in Santa Claus. He may have stunned some non-believers who saw his family's display shine on ABC.
DEPTFORD, NJ — At 43 years old, Dan Uszaki still believes in Santa Claus. With his family's major holiday display winning "The Great Christmas Light Fight," even the staunchest Santa doubters in the program's viewing audience may feel the same way.
Long-known for their over-the-top Christmas decorations at their Deptford home, the Uszaki's competed against families with a similar fervor for the holidays. They emerged victorious on Tuesday's episode, earning the ABC program's $50,000 grand prize and Light Fight trophy.
Their home decorations, known as Deptford Dazzling Lights, evolved into a grander display dubbed GLOW at Washington Township. (The episode featuring the Deptford lights was filmed more than a year ago.)

But whether the Uszaki's are brightening South Jersey or screens throughout the nation, Dan will keep the faith.
"The large-scale trophy is for everyone," Uszaki wrote on GLOW's Facebook page, "for my fellow contestants, my family and all of the supporters out there — we are all winners, because we all believe in Santa Claus."

For many years, the Uszaki's made their home into one of the nation's most over-the-top Christmas displays. Beginning with a 50,000-light setup, Deptford Dazzling Lights achieved viral fame by synchronizing lights to the Eagles' fight song.
But Dan and the family outdid themselves this year by creating GLOW — a winter wonderland in Washington Township with a million-pixel, drive-thru light show. Its Dazzling District Christmas Village is headlined by the LED snowman — believed to be the world's tallest at 45 feet.
"Embrace the enchantment that comes with imagining a world where goodness prevails and miracles happen," Dan Uszaki wrote. "Deptford Dazzling Lights will be back one day, and I am not ashamed, to say, that I still believe in Santa Claus."
GLOW (217 Berlin-Cross Keys Rd.) remains open for the holiday season. Get tickets here.
