Barnes & Noble Is Back, Hosting Grand Opening In Union County
The bookstore is returning to Clark after closing its doors in June 2022.

CLARK, NJ — Barnes & Noble is back! The bookstore is hosting a grand opening for its its new Clark location on Wednesday, Aug. 13.
The new Barnes & Noble marks the return of the retailer to the Clark community after closing its former location in June of 2022.
The new space will offer close to 10,000 square feet of books, toys, games, magazines, gift items and more. It is located in Clark Commons (1255 Raritan Rd, Clark), next to L.A. Fitness, in the space formerly occupied by Party City.

The new Barnes & Noble bookstore will officially open to the public at 9 a.m. on Aug. 13, with critically acclaimed author Nisha Sharma cutting the ribbon and signing copies of her books, including "Marriage & Masti: A Novel."

"We are very pleased to return to Clark" said James Daunt, CEO of Barnes & Noble. "When our previous lease ended in 2022, we were determined to find a new location nearby. Now we open this beautiful new Barnes & Noble just half a mile from where we served this community for nearly 25 years. Our Clark booksellers are eager to welcome the community into their new Clark Barnes & Noble."
The Clark location is one of five new Barnes & Noble bookstores set to open in August, alongside new stores in Kansas, Minnesota, Tennessee, and Texas.
"Clark, you have been asking for years, and we listened," said Store Manager Mary Iannaccone, Barnes & Noble bookseller of 25 years. "We are thrilled to come back to your community and help you pick your next great read!"
